Xiaomi’s VP Lu Weibing spotted with a bezel-less smartphone – upcoming flagship Redmi SD855 phone?

It’s a well-known fact that the Xiaomi‘s sub-brand Redmi is currently working on its upcoming flagship smartphone. The device will feature the powerful Snapdragon 855 chipset. Recently, Lu Weibing who is also the Redmi general manager was spotted with an unreleased smartphone at a cinema. This very well could be the smartphone which the company is currently working on.

The leaked image of the upcoming Redmi smartphone has already started making rounds on the internet. The image shows the Lu Weibing with a device sporting a full-screen display with an ultra-thin side bezels. At the moment, we don’t know what the company is going to call this device. Although various leaks did suggested Redmi Pro 2 moniker.

A couple of days ago, Lu Weibing did announce that the upcoming Redmi SD855 smartphone will feature a very narrow chin. We’re already aware of the fact the device will not come with a notch or even a waterdrop notch design. It is worth mentioning that the device will retain the 3.5-mm headphone jack which is a good thing. In addition to the SD855 chipset, the smartphone might come with NFC support, higher screen-to-body ratio, long-lasting battery life and aggressive pricing.

Although various leaks were suggesting towards the addition of pop-up cameras but the Redmi was very quick enough to deny it.

As mentioned earlier, not much is known about this yet to announced the Redmi smartphone apart from some leaks and reveals from Lu Weibing. Coming to the pricing, we do know that the Redmi is rooting for much aggressive and shocking price tag. We do expect more leaks and reveals to come forward soon revealing this device bit by bit.
