Our beloved messenger WhatsApp might be getting some new features. This news is not coming from a leak but it is actually coming from the parent company itself. The parent company Facebook announced today during the annual F8 developer conference. WhatsApp director Mubarik Imam announced that they will be adding stickers and group video calling to the messenger. However, she didn’t reveal any detail about how the video calling will work.
She has also revealed that WhatsApp has now 450 million daily active users and over 2 billion minutes of video and audio calls are made through it each day.
Now, the platform is actually following the footstep of other services like WeChat, Line, Facebook Messenger. It will be also open to third-party developers to launch their line of stickers.
Facebook bought the messaging service for $19 billion in 2014.
