Realme C2 Launched in India with Helio P22 SoC, Dual Cameras: Price, Features

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Realme, launched the much-awaited smartphone Realme 3 Pro on April 22, Monday at the Delhi University stadium. on Monday. Along with the launch of Realme 3 Pro, the company also unveiled its entry-level Realme C2 smartphone which is an upgrade over the Realme C1 in terms of processor, design and cameras. Realme C1 turned out to very successful in the entry-level smartphone segment directly challenging Redmi 6A last year.

The Realme C2 houses a 6.1-inch HD+ display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 89.35% screen-to-body ratio. The smartphone retains its signature diamond-cut design at the back as seen on multiple Realme handsets.  It comes with a dewdrop notch unlike the regular notch as seen on the Realme C1. The smartphone also offers Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The biggest upgrade from the Realme C1 comes to the chipset, which is now a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC. Whereas, the Realme C1 had Snapdragon 450
processor. The processor is paired with two RAM configurations. The 2GB RAM variant packs 16GB inbuilt storage while the 3GB RAM variant offers 32GB internal memory. Talking about the software, the device runs on ColorOS 6 based on the latest Android 9 Pie.

Realme C2 boasts an impressive 4,000mAh battery which is claimed to run up to two days on moderate use. Realme C2 is a dual VoLTE smartphone and comes with a triple card slot to support two nano SIM cards and a microSD card slot.

Coming to the optics, Realme C2 sports a dual-camera setup with a combination of 13-megapixel primary lens along with a 2-megapixel shooter. Realme C2 will sport an 8-megapixel camera sensor up front. We get tons of other camera features such as Chrome Boost, 80fps/480p slo-mo video recording, and more.

The Realme C2 is launched in India with pretty decent pricing. The base variant, 2GB+16GB has been priced at Rs 5,999 whereas the 3GB+32GB will retail at Rs 7,999. Jio users can avail benefits worth Rs 5,300 on purchase of the device. The Realme C2 will also be made available offline at a later date.

There will be two color variants, Diamond blue and Diamond black, available for the smartphone. You can buy this smartphone in the sale at 12 noon on 15th May on Flipkart and Realme’s official website.
