Finally the much awaited smartphone of the year is launched in India..
The brand that was once the leader in the Indian mobile phone market is back again with its all new Nokia 6. The Nokia 6 is an Android based smartphone. The Nokia 6 is designed by HMD Global, and it is manufactured by Foxconn Technology, which also happens to be the manufacturer of Apple’s iPhone.
The Nokia 6 undoubtedly reminds of the design philosophy of all the mobile phones devices from Nokia back in the day, especially the glossy rectangular block around the primary camera. The device comes with a fingerprint scanner that sits below the display along with two capacitive physical navigational buttons. On the back of the device is the Nokia branding along with the camera module and a LED flash. The device measures 154 x 75.8 x 7.85 mm
Nokia : The Saga Continues…..
Nokia has a name in the Indian market for its ultimate build quality. In a bid to keep the old Nokia alive in every phone they produce, the new Android phones are built sturdy and superb quality. The Nokia 6 is carved out of a single solid block of series 6000 Aluminium, and uses a metal mid-plate sandwiched between the screen and frame for resistance to stress that would bend normal phones.
The Pure Android
- Nokia 6 is loaded with latest Android 7.1.1, which means you get all the latest features like multi-window, message replies from popups, new battery and data savers and best possible security features.
- To top that, it is the stock interface. Which means, the look and feel of the system is unchanged. It is the way Google designed it. It is how you would find it on Google’s top-end phone- Pixel.
- Yet another reason to buy this young gun is that it comes with a 16MP rear camera with dual flash which allows you to document real life pictures even in low light and 8MP front camera packed with a 3000 mAh fast charging battery.
- The Nokia 6 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset. The chipset consists of an octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU along with Adreno 505 GPU. The chipset is mated to 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. Nokia was generous enough to provide the device with 32GB of internal storage that can also be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.
Make in India Works..
If you check the European and Chinese price of the Nokia 6, they convert out to be INR 16,000. But in India it sells for even less at Rs 14,999. Probably, because it is made in India that the phone is cheaper. Otherwise it would have been tagged higher than Chinese price due to import taxes like it is with Oppo, Vivo or Xiaomi phones. And that could be the reason the phone made it late to the Indian market.
