Huawei Watch GT India Launch Set for tomorrow, to come with 1.39-inch AMOLED Display, 128MB Storage

The Indian smartphone wearable market is getting more and more aggressive with brands like Samsung, Apple, LG, FitBit introducing their several wearables and smartwatch models. Adding to those, Huawei is now planning to finally launch its premium smartwatch dubbed Huawei Watch GT in India.

Huawei Watch GT: India Launch Date, Price and Availability

Huawei India recently posted an image on its official Twitter account revealing the launch date for Huawei Watch GT. The post also uses a hashtag that says “One Charge Two Weeks”. The smartwatch will be available on starting from tomorrow i.e. March 12.

As of now, the brand hasn’t revealed anything related to the pricing of the product. For a reference, Huawei Watch GT is priced at USD 200 (roughly INR 14,000) elsewhere. With that said, Huawei might go with the aggressive pricing to create a tough competition in the smartwatch wearable space.

Huawei Watch GT: Specifications, Features

Huawei Watch GT is the company’s flagship smartwatch which comes with top-notch specifications and a special focus towards physical activity. The smartwatch sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED display having a resolution of 454×454 pixels. The wearable uses a double Cortex M4 chipset architecture giving it an impressive battery life of up to 2 weeks. Speaking of memory, the watch has an internal ROM of 128MB and a 16MB of RAM.

Unlike any other smartwatch, Huawei Watch GT does not support Wifi connectivity. The watch only relies on the Bluetooth v4.2 for communication. Huawei has used a proprietary operating system instead of Wear OS on this watch. Other features include TruSeen 3.0 heart rate monitoring technology that measures the real-time heartbeat of the person. Huawei Watch GT is pretty slim measuring just 10.6mm in thickness.

The wearable also packs GPS, GLONASS, and GALILEO for easy access to location-based services and sensors such as an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a magnetometer, an optical heart rate sensor, ambient light sensor, and a barometer.

Speaking of compatibility, the Huawei Watch GT supports handsets running Android 4.4 or higher and iOS devices running iOS 9.0 or later.
