Battlefield 5 is rumored to set in World War 2. The 2016’s Battlefield took place in World War 1. We still don’t have any info regarding the name of the next installment. The new installment will contain multiple maps and modes for multiplayer and a single-player campaign.

With the next Battlefield game, the team at DICE is bringing the intensity of combat to life in new and unexpected ways. Every battle is unique, and every mode brings its own challenges. The way you interact with the environment around you, to compelling single-player stories, to the next level of large-scale multiplayer that spans across multiple maps and modes.

EA is going to build this game on the success of Battlefield 1 taking inspiration from DICE’s core DNA. The new game will advance the state of the art for the franchise, while still delivering the signature gameplay. Blake Jorgensen, CFO of  Electronic Arts, said that the Battlefield has a very strong player community. He believes fans will be “extremely excited” about the game.

Talking about the availability, Battlefield 5 release date is still unknown. EA might delay the game to find some breathing room against the competition. There is a pretty high chance that EA will announce the game’s release date at the E3 2018.
