The world was taken by surprise by CD project Red when they announced cyberpunk 2077 last year with a game demo. The game takes place in a futuristic world where technology has taken its part in every aspect of human society. This year we have finally gotten more detail of the game with a confirmed release date of April 16 2020.
This year’s trailer shows the after events of the trailer of last year ( shows just how much CD project Red has an eye for detail) with V returning to his employ after a job well done to collect his payment. We are shown from the flashbacks that V has lost his partner in this job.
From this trailer we can think that it is going to be a revenge story where V goes out to put an end to this employer and his minions with a special star Keanu Reeves in his Jhon wick avatar to help us burn this city as the character says at the end of the trailer “We have a city to burn”.
All this seems great, a future cyber city, a grim revenge storyline and Keanu Reeves in your screens but does this makes an awesome game material? Yes but as we are talking about CD projects they don’t just stop at awesome game material, they took it a step forward.
The lead quest developer of the game has confirmed some more jaw-dropping details in an interview with PlayStation. It seems the developers wanted to make this game as alive as humanly possible. You obviously create your own avatar but the customization does not just focus on the colours of your eyes but rather something you has a player will find important.
From the trailer we see V having blades coming out of his hands, They are known as gorilla hands and it seems that there is a market place in-game that lets you buy all sorts of limbs for your character. You can buy legs that let you run faster, arms that give you extra strength, when you create a character in this game you know it is going to demand time because obviously, you would do jobs to collect money for all these different body parts and that’s what makes this a unique game.
CyberPunk 2077: No Loading Screens, Branches and Much More
The game actually demands your time and that too in a good way because after a couple of jobs you are going to have a character that is uniquely yours. Another main feature is that there are NO LOADING SCREENS. Yes, you read that right. The developers have said that there are not going to be any loading screens.
Zeen's Automatic Middle Of Content Ad Feature
We still don’t know what would happen if we use ‘fast travel’ but CD projects have said that it is super fun to drive around in this game. Every car is unique in its own way with its unique music and that they really want us to enjoy that experience. There are six districts in the game with every one having its own unique environment and its own laws of survival.
Another great thing about the game is the “branches”. Understand it like this. In every open world game, there is a main quest and there is some side quest, the side quest is really fun to do but what part do they play in the grand scheme of the main story? Expanding on the same question it seems these time CD projects have really blurred the lines between the side quests and the main quest.
Everything that you touch in the game sprung into its own story. You help someone you are betraying another person and now both of them have their own story. Obviously, all the side quest do lead to the main story but it is really hard to tell the difference.
Well, that’s all the details we could pile-up from all the different sources if you know something about the game, do tell us in the comments below because I pretty sure am excited about the game.
