Asus 6Z launched in India with Flipping Camera, Snapdragon 855 and 18W Fast Charging: Price in India, Specifications

It seems that every smartphone company out there is trying to find the perfect solution to the front camera in search for the perfect screen to body ratio and Asus might have just come up with the next best solution. As scheduled, Asus today launched its upcoming flagship device dubbed Asus 6z in the country.

Asus 6z: Price in India, Availability, Launch Offers

Asus 6z comes in three different storage variant – 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB priced at INR 31,999, INR 34,999 and INR 39,999 respectively. As expected, Asus 6z is going to be a Flipkart Exclusive smartphone and it will go on sale starting June 26.

Coming to the launch offers, Asus is offering Complete Mobile Protection in partnership with Flipkart worth INR 3,999 at just INR 99. This plan will cover your smartphone against broken screens, liquid damage, and multiple other hardware and software issues.

Asus 6z: Specifications, Features

Asus 6z, the rebranded Asus Zenfone 6, comes with a 6.46-inch NanoEdge IPS LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution with HDR 10 support. The display features 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Sadly, there is no AMOLED display but considering the price point, I won’t complain.

For those who’re not aware, Asus 6z is the company’s first smartphone to come with a bezel-less display with no notch at all. For the front facing cameras, Asus has added a flipping camera module which one can use as a selfie as well as a rear camera. This allows users to click high-quality selfies which is something that no other brand is offering. Also, the flipping camera gives your phone a futuristic design.

In terms of performance, the device comes with the latest Snapdragon 855 processor coupled with an Adreno 640GPU, up to 8GB of ram and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.1 storage. Moving to the optics, the device is equipped with a 48MP+13MP flip camera module which eliminates the need for a separate front facing camera completely. The dual camera uses a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with a 13MP ultra-wide camera with a 125-degree field of view. The primary camera module can record 4K videos at 60fps. You can even use EIS in 4K 60FPS video recording. You can use the same cameras for clicking selfies or recording videos from the front thanks to the flipping camera module.

All of this is fueled by a massive 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging and runs on the latest version of ZenUI 6 on top of Android 9.0 Pie. Asus has guaranteed to give Android Q as well as Android R to the users of Asus 6z. Other specifications include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C Port and a dedicated MicroSD card slot.
